Identity for Mobile App Vision
From concept to main stage: identity for Ukraine’s national mobile app awards
The Devlight marketing team faced a challenge — to launch an event with no precedent in Ukraine. My task — to build a visual system for the event from scratch, one that would read equally well across social media, printed materials, and the main stage.
Project timeline: May 2025 – July 2025
I deliberately separated the event identity from Devlight’s corporate style — the event needed to live as a standalone brand with its own character, otherwise it would have been perceived as an internal corporate gathering rather than an industry award.
A 120+ page printed research publication
The event was opened by Devlight CEO Ihor Polych, who presented our research to the audience — setting the tone for the entire event.
From research to a premium sales tool
The “Mobile Development Trends 2025” research covered 10 sections of the industry — from interactivity to cybersecurity. My task was to turn the research into a premium sales tool — material that people would want to share with leads.
I shaped the concept of the book before the final content was ready: I developed layout guidelines — typography, spacing, colors, content display principles — then handed them off to a team of 3 designers, which I oversaw through to the final stage.
In parallel, I developed 4 mobile app concepts for this research, which were later used in pre-sales, on social media, and at subsequent events.
A working company asset
The research became a working company asset: the sales team uses it in client work, and Forbes specifically highlighted the team’s app ranking of the Ukrainian market across 5 key categories.
Special thanks to Yuliia Boiadzhian — without her persistence in gathering content, this research simply wouldn’t exist. And for her mentorship: for the first time, I took on full responsibility and the role of design team leader.
Event materials
I developed the identity and key materials that wrapped the entire event before it even began. The design team helped scale the system across every touchpoint of the event:
-
announcement posts, voting for the best app
-
trophies, physical awards for category winners
-
the digital event stage and photo zone
-
badges and wayfinding signage
-
a self-checkout stand from the Qommett sub-brand

Main stage and presentation
I was responsible for how the event looked from the audience: I created an interactive animated presentation following the event script and worked out the logic for displaying content across the main screen and two side screens — so that at any moment the viewer understood what was happening, which speaker was on, and what stage came next.

The award
The shape of the transparent cup served as the foundation for the entire visual system and became the logical conclusion of the event. 12 companies received their awards, and that was the final point everything had been building toward.

Qommett self-checkout stand
A separate stand featured a self-checkout system from Qommett — a Devlight sub-brand. The demo app that event participants tested was built with my involvement on the Qommett visual system. More on the creation of the Qommett brand — at the link.

Participant comments
Denys created a unified visual style for Mobile App Vision — with a distinctive code that immediately set the event apart at the time. He was responsible for all visuals: from digital materials that helped attract 200+ participants to the offline event, to stands, main-stage presentations, and awards.
Additional Comment
Mobile App Vision is the first mobile app award in Ukraine, and the event's visual image had to reflect that. Denys created a distinctive visual code that immediately set the project apart in the market. He was responsible not only for digital expressions — banners, SMM, engagement materials — but also for the full visual design of the offline part: stands, main-stage presentations, awards. 200 participants attended the event. We worked on tight timelines, but Denys successfully brought the project to its final result.
This event became a unique format of PR campaign and marketing funnel for Devlight. An idea that would have required at least 5–6 months of preparation was realized with Denys's help in 2 months, and we managed to create something no one in the market had done before.
Additional Comment
In this project, Denys proved himself a true stoic. This is that case where content changed 5 times a week, deadlines were "due yesterday," an unreal number of stakeholders, and a large block of typography work — and out of all of it, Denys created a 120+ page research publication, an event identity, managed to onboard a new person to the team, and on top of that created 4 unique app concepts that made it into the research. And all of this without compromising our standards or his own!
